The Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme is a compensation scheme run by Propertymark which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds.

As a professional body, we believe that raising standards and providing consumer protection are essential to our trustworthiness. CMP plays an integral part in this. If your agent is not signed up to CMP, you should ask yourself, “Why not?”



Established in 2007, this modern deposit protection firm protects over 1.1 million deposits. We use mydeposits because they are honest, open, ethical and fair.

Under the mydeposits tenancy deposit scheme

  • Deposits are protected during the tenancy.
